3 Inch Freelance traction engine

We see a range of secondhand engines but few are as interesting as this beast. Very much a scratch built traction engine, built around a very large steel boiler. Featuring large twin cylinders, which give us the impression that it will be quite powerful.

Overall mechanically sound, has been run on air by us both forward and in reverse. Could use a little tinkering to bring it to its full potential. There is an injector and we have looked in to the potential of adding a hand pump, deciding it would be a possibility should the new owner decide. A nicely proportioned model, that would benefit from a little aesthetic work. Definitely better looking without the canopy.

Offered at a low price making it an ideal winter project for someone looking for a larger scale traction engine at an affordable rate.
