7 1/4 Inch GP40

The GP40 is an American outline diesel locomotive. It is a 4-axle diesel-electric road switcher locomotive built by General Motors' Electromotive Division as part of its Dash 2 line between April 1972 and December 1986.

Our model has a wealth of detail, fitted with spring suspension, full electronic control and optional sound system and/or radio control. The model features an all steel body, ball bearing axles, direct chain drive and working headlights and marker lights. Power is provided by 1400W electric motors making it a very powerful model.

Base model includes two power bogies with 2 DC 24V 350W motors per bogie, 1.5" scale working couplers, and electronic handheld control.

The GP40 is available as an unpainted kit, painted kit or ready to run version.

Make it your own! Our paintwork is second to none, should you want a custom livery, oil base lining, custom graphics, name, shed or number plates we are only too happy to help.
