Britannia BR Standard Class 7 Locomotive 7.25 Inch gauge
Something a bit special here! This is a show stopping model, built to a very high standard and finished in the golden arrow "Iron Duke" 70014 livery which is nice to see.
Where do you start with a model ike this? A few highlights:
- Built by one engineer over many years.
- Full photographic history from start to finish.
- Swindon boiler with original certification.
- Never steamed so completely new/unused.
- Scale backhead.
- Vacuum brake system on tender.
- Winner of model engineering certificate
- Every part finished to look correct.
It is a stunning model to look at let alone run, it has got no wear and tear on the valve gear or motion, there is no slop on any parts. The boiler has been hydraulic tested and the loco runs on air (for a short period) and everything appears to functioning correctly. Under hydraulic the boiler held pressure well as you would expect from a unused/new swindon boiler, few tiny leaks to sort on fittings but amazing really, the care and attention that has gone into the build can been seen in every part.
Whether you have it as an amazing display item or want to use it as a working steam model this locomotive really need to be seen to be appreciated. Huge history file and all specialist tools for running & maintaining will be supplied with it as well as a full set of drawings.
